Carol’s Story

Not all bruises are the same. Fortunately for Carol, not all cancer treatments are the same either. When a seemingly harmless bruise on her thigh was diagnosed as multiple myeloma, Carol carefully considered several options. Eventually, she opted for the TomoTherapy® System treatment as part of a clinical trial. In what she describes as her “Star Wars adventure,” she received treatment for five consecutive days. Side affects were minimal; the results were astounding.

It’s been 10 years since her TomoTherapy treatment, and Carol continues to strive to live life to the fullest. She’s also become a mentor and advocate for other people considering treatment options.
